From the German press - accusations against C. Ronaldo for rape in Las Vegas

The best football player in the world Cristiano Ronaldo never complained about the attention of women and more often runs away from it than seeks it, but the German magazine "Der Spiegel" on Friday accused the 32-year-old Portuguese of using violence against a woman 8 years ago, writes lrytas.lt.

The Germans rely on unofficial data published by the internet group "Football Leaks" about footballers' contracts and other secrets.

"Der Spiegel" claims that C. Ronaldo was accused of rape at a hotel in Las Vegas, but after negotiations, he paid the victim $375,000.

It is alleged that violence was used in June 2009 at one of the luxury hotels in Las Vegas. The victim was then 20 years old.

C. Ronaldo was on vacation in the USA at that time with his brother and half-brother.

When the footballer was accused, his lawyers took action. After a few months of negotiations, they managed to reach an agreement.

In January 2010, C. Ronaldo allegedly paid the woman for her silence and the case did not reach court. She also pledged to report to all persons who knew about this incident.

C. Ronaldo's representative Johannes Kreile responded to these allegations on his behalf. He stated that "legal action will be taken against this publication in the near future."

At the same time, the Portuguese newspaper "Jornal de Noticias" presented a slightly different version of this story. According to them, the woman took the money for silence not because of rape, but to prevent their romantic affair from being revealed.
