The Lithuanian national team suffered their third defeat in the new Nations League season yesterday.

This time, Edgaras Jankauskas's players, who had few chances, lost 1-2 to the Kosovo national team.

Although the pitch at Darius and Girėnas Stadium was in better condition this time, it still faced criticism.

The national team’s center-back Kipras Kažukolovas told the lrt.lt portal: "The untouched pitch is felt, and it seems that it hasn’t recovered after those concerts. It would be nice to have a football stadium for football.”

However, the "Astana" defender added that the game was good: "The first 15-20 minutes were a challenge, but after that, we broke through. We started playing like we know we can. The second half was really positive. I think we showed decent football.”

"It's a pity that we conceded cheap goals, but it was the individual skill of the Kosovo players. Looking at the match, it was somewhat positive, but again we didn’t earn any points.”

At the same time, E. Girdvainis expressed gratitude to the fans who gathered in large numbers during an interview with the LRT channel: "I would like to thank all the fans who came. We really felt their support. At the end of the match, they pushed us forward, saying that we need to equalize and overturn the score. Just because so many spectators gathered.”
