"Roma" team symbol Francesco Totti could have moved to another club during the best years of his career.
The 40-year-old forward spoke to the "L'Intervista" publication:
"For many years, I was very close to reaching an agreement with Madrid's "Real" club. Of course, I would never have moved to another Italian team because I respect the people.
I regret that I didn't get to play alongside Ronaldo and win the Champions League with "Roma", said the forward who played almost 800 matches for the capital club.
Now the legendary player is considering his next career steps.
"I am thinking about my future and I have almost made a decision, but I will wait until May or June", said Totti.
"I will never become a coach, I don't want to be alone in front of 30 players who are clever and deceptive.
There will be one of three options: I will continue my footballer career, become a club employee, or retire from football and do something else. Maybe I could become an agent, because I know a little about this sports world."
