"Fulham" part ways with R.Meulensteen, he is replaced by F.Magath © EuroFootball.com

The "Fulham" club in London fired their head coach Rene Meulesteen on Friday evening.

The Dutch strategist had only been in the capital team for a month - he replaced his compatriot Martin Jol on January 12th.

However, Meulesteen had been working at "Fulham" since November, when he held the position of assistant coach.

In his five games as head coach in the English Championship, R. Meulesteen did not achieve a single victory: he played a draw 2-2 with "Manchester United" at Old Trafford and suffered four defeats.

Felix Magath will replace R. Meulesteen as head coach, becoming the first German to train a team in the Premier League.

The 60-year-old strategist is known for his strict discipline and has previously coached at clubs such as "Hamburger," "Stuttgart," "Eintracht Frankfurt," "Bayern," "Wolfsburg," and "Schalke."

Currently, the "Fulham" team is in last place in the Premier League with 20 points. They are 4 points away from a safe position to avoid relegation.
