The second round of the "TOPsport futsal A league" started on the weekend. It began intriguingly, as no match recorded a greater difference than two goals. Let us remind you that this did not happen over all nine rounds of the first round.
This time, "Kėdainiai United" came very close to their first points, leading as late as the 38th minute, but then lost the victory in the last two minutes. In other matches, "Bruklinas" avenged their loss to "Gargždų pramogos", "Radviliškis" defeated VIP, and "Vikingai" once again proved their superiority over "VGTU Vilkus".
Close to Victory
"Kėdainiai United" does not remind us at all of a team that has zero points after the first round. This team started the second round confidently and did not allow "Akmenės kraštas" to get into the game.
The first goal was scored as the first half approached its midpoint. A confident attack, a pass from the right to Gintaras Griškevičius, and he sent the ball into the far bottom corner of the net with one touch. The same G. Griškevičius triumphed after a shot from his half of the field, when the visiting goalkeeper Andrei Cividini lost the ball after leaving the goal.
This "Akmenės goalkeeper" mistake did not affect the game, and soon after, he transferred the ball back into the opponent's half and took a shot that was unmanageable for Egidijus Žagaras.
After the break, the teams exchanged goals, but the most interesting events unfolded in the last two minutes. At that time, "Akmenės kraštas" was playing without a goalkeeper but with five players on the field. Two very similar situations were created, allowing the guests to return to Akmenė with three points.
"Kėdainiai United" – "Akmenės kraštas" 3:4
Goals: G.Griškevičius 2, U.Avizovas; G.Rodriguez 2, A.Cividini, J.Wellington.

Revenge
On October 26, in Vilkaviškis, "Gargždų pramogos" defeated "Bruklinas" 4:3, marking one of the bigger sensations of the season at that time. Last weekend, the action moved to Gargždai, and this time "Bruklinas" celebrated victory and climbed to second place in the tournament table.
Unlike the first match, this time the main task was to defend. The teams managed to stick to their plans quite well, and only three goals were scored in total.
In the second half of the first half, Gintaras Čibirka scored from a meter away, and in the middle of the second half – after a corner – Deividas Reimaris equalized the score. Soon "Gargždų pramogos" could have taken the lead, but they failed to capitalize on their chances.
The winning goal was scored by Renanas Cardoso with five minutes remaining. A great long shot was unstoppable for the opponent’s goalkeeper.
"Gargždų pramogos" – "Bruklinas" 1:2
Goals: D.Reimaris; G.Čibirka, R.Cardoso

Neighbors
The home team Radviliškis won the match against VIP. The latter, despite conceding an early goal, managed to score three goals by the middle of the second half and built a two-goal lead.
This did not affect VIP. Taking advantage of the opponent's goalkeeper's error, Pavel Smolkov reduced the deficit to a minimum with a long shot.
The most interesting events of the match were packed into the last two minutes. A handball call resulted in the eighth foul against the guests, and Nerijus Volkovas converted the penalty with impeccable precision. Just twelve seconds later, Aivaras Bagočius took advantage of his chance, and with seven seconds left, Kristupas Petravičius scored into the empty goal from across the field.
"Radviliškis" – VIP
Goals: N.Volkovas 2, M.Baziulis, T.Hevlych, K.Petravičius; G.Klemenis, P.Smolkovas, A.Bagočius.

Empty Goals
The "Vikingai" of Jonava, scoring two goals, defeated "VGTU Vilkus" and extended their unbeaten streak to five matches. Four of those matches ended in victories. Interestingly, both goals were scored into empty nets.
The first goal of the duel was scored after four minutes of play. Taking advantage of the opponent’s goalkeeper leaving the goal, Gytis Vasylius lifted the ball over him, and it ended up in the net.
The second goal came with seven seconds left. At that moment, "VGTU Vilkai" was playing with five players and no goalkeeper, and Paulius Osauskas took full advantage of the situation.
