Madrid's "Real" club continues negotiations on new contracts - the team's star player Gareth Bale has agreed to extend his current contract until 2022.
The current contract of the 27-year-old forward was valid until 2019. The Spanish media has long been talking about Bale receiving a new and much more lucrative contract.
G. Bale added the UEFA Champions League winners in 2013. In his first season, the footballer showed excellent results, but in the second season he "fell into a pit" and received a lot of criticism. However, last season restored confidence and Bale became one of the team's most important players.
The Welsh national team member has already played 134 matches in the "Real" team and scored 62 goals. Bale made a significant contribution to "Real's" triumph in the UEFA Champions League in 2014 and 2016.
This month, under Florentino Perez's management, "Real" rewarded three more players with new contracts - Toni Kroos, Luka Modric, and Lucas Vazquez.
G. Bale will complete the main formalities regarding the contract renewal tomorrow and share his thoughts at a press conference.
