Gareth Bale, who has been in great athletic shape lately, will most likely miss tomorrow's upcoming Spanish league match.
The 28-year-old footballer, who contributed to the victory over Borussia Dortmund on Tuesday with a great goal and assist, has been nursing a slight foot injury from that game and has not been training with the team in recent days.
Bale underwent tests, but they didn't show anything serious. However, Zinedine Zidane, unwilling to take any risks, will give him some extra rest and he won't play against Espanyol.
He should be replaced in the starting lineup by Marco Asensio. Real Madrid, currently 7 points behind the leaders, can't afford any more mistakes - tomorrow evening they will aim to win their first game in front of their own fans, and matches against Espanyol are always favorable for the "Whites".
