Gary Cahill admitted that he feels no respect for current London club Chelsea coach Maurizio Sarri, with whom he and the club will part ways immediately after the season.
The 33-year-old defender confirmed that these are his last weeks at Chelsea. G. Cahill practically had no role in the team this season - he played only seven games, with just one appearance in the Premier League.
"It was a tragic season for me. When I leave Chelsea, these years will simply be erased from my mind. The last memory with this club is last year's FA Cup final," G. Cahill said.
"I think a coach should give some explanation when a player who has regularly played in the team and won titles doesn't play even eight games per season. Sarri behaved like this not only with me. I have no respect for a person who doesn't show it to a player who has won trophies in this club," added G. Cahill.
The defender has played for Chelsea since 2012 and during that time has played almost 300 games. G. Cahill became a Premier League champion twice and triumphed in the Champions League and Europa League.
