On the official website of London's "Chelsea," it was announced that they have reached an agreement with the team's center-back Gary Cahill for a new four-year contract.
The 29-year-old Englishman joined the "Blues" team in 2012, after leaving "Bolton" four years prior. It was not difficult for the defender to establish himself in the English champions' team and become a key player.
"I am really pleased to tie my future with Chelsea," said G. Cahill. "I am very happy that the club has shown confidence in me."
It is believed that after this season, G. Cahill's partner John Terry will leave the Chelsea team, so from the 2016-17 season, the central defensive pair of the London team should be the mentioned Englishman and Kurt Zouma.
Since January 2012, the Englishman, who has been playing for Chelsea, has already played 167 matches and scored 14 goals.
