Giorgio Chiellini believes that Cristiano Ronaldo's arrival at Juventus in Turin could be one of the reasons why the team will finally realize their dream and become the UEFA Champions League winner.
There is no doubt that with C. Ronaldo, Juventus has become one of the favorites in this tournament - the Portuguese player contributed to all four Champions League titles won by Real Madrid. He has punished Juventus before, scoring two goals against them in the tournament final in Cardiff.
"Cristiano has scored so many goals against us and shattered our dreams more than once," said G. Chiellini on the BBC podcast.
"Previously, the Champions League was a dream for us, but with Cristiano joining the team, it became our main goal. He is the best football player on the planet, and all we need to do is take the final step," continued the defender.
"He is an exceptionally strong personality. His abilities on the field are fantastic, but I am more impressed by his attitude towards work. He talks about work during training, preparation for matches, and his entire way of life. The team has clearly changed since his arrival," concluded the Italian.
Realizing their dream will not be easy for the Juventus team - in the quarterfinals, they will face Diego Simeone's Atletico Madrid.
