Gianluigi Donnarumma had a wonderful year with the Italian national team and AC Milan until he moved to PSG, for which the Italian goalkeeper received a prestigious award. At the France Football awards G. Donnarumma was presented with the Lev Yashin trophy. Last season, the Italian along with AC Milan finished in the top four of Serie A for the first time in several years and qualified for the Champions League. With the Italian national team, G. Donnarumma won the European Championship. The goalkeeper was also named the best player of the European Championship. The Lev Yashin trophy is awarded only for the second time - last year it was not awarded to anyone due to the pandemic, and in 2019 it was won by Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson Becker.
