"Napoli" team played at home in the first leg of the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals, ending in a 1-1 draw with "Barcelona".
The Italian team took the lead in the first half thanks to a goal by Dries Mertens, but in the second half Antoine Griezmann equalized.
After the match, "Napoli" coach Gennaro Gattuso praised his team's performance but regretted the painful missed goal.
"Since Setien took the reins at "Barca", they attack with much greater force and try much less to control the ball in the center of the field.
"Barcelona" forces their opponents to defend very deep, because otherwise space opens up for them, which they exploit very well.
Our opponents hardly posed any problems for us. They could have stayed here all night and still not have scored, but everything changed with just one mistake on our part.
We could have made better use of a few counterattacks, but my men did what they were supposed to do. We did not allow "Barca" to create any dangerous moments near our goal," Gattuso said.
The Italian also believes that his team can advance to the next stage of the tournament.
"It is obvious that the fight for a ticket to the quarter-finals is not over yet. We have enough time to prepare for the second leg, where the opponents will be without Sergio Busquets and Arturo Vidal.
It is our duty to go to Barcelona and fight for victory. We have many capable players, but "Barcelona" has even more, but if we maintain the right concentration, we will certainly have our chances," added the "Napoli" coach.
