G. Gattuso confirmed that G. Higuain wants to leave "Milan"

"Milan" coach Gennaro Gattuso confirmed after the victorious match in the Italian cup that Gonzalo Higuain has expressed his desire to leave the fashion capital.

The 31-year-old sniper arrived at "Milan" from "Juventus" on loan basis in the summer. The clubs had agreed that after the season, "rossoneri" would buy out the Argentine's contract for 36 million euros, but another potential buyer appeared this month - London's "Chelsea."

Maurizio Sarri is looking to strengthen the attack, and G. Higuain is currently one of the few available candidates.

"Our relationship with Higuain is very open, so we are not afraid to tell each other the truth. When players make a certain choice (express their desire to leave - ed.), convincing them otherwise is difficult," said G. Gattuso.

"At the moment, he is a 'Milan' player, but I do not know what will happen later. As I said, we are open to each other, so I want his dedication to remain the same.

I cannot say why Higuain is unhappy, because as far as I see him in the dressing room, he is always part of a good atmosphere. We have to wait and see what happens later. It does not depend on me, I cannot invite him home, lock him in a room and bring him food every three hours," added the coach.

G. Higuain scored eight goals in 21 matches for "Milan" this season.
