"Milan" season continues to unfold not in the best way - "rossoneri" once again failed to beat their opponents in Thursday's match of the "Serie A" championship.
"Milan" settled for a draw against "Empoli" - 1:1. The fashion capital team gained the lead in the 10th minute, but a defensive mistake in the 71st minute cost them the equalizing goal.
After the match, head coach Gennaro Gattuso, whose future is hanging in the balance, stated that the team once again had no luck, but also admitted that they are not good enough.
"We created many dangerous opportunities in both the first and second halves. We made one big mistake and we were sorely punished for it," the strategist said.
"The problem was that we couldn't 'kill off' the game after the first goal. It's another instance when things didn't go our way, but we still need to work hard on finishing chances.
"We are not a perfect team, we're not effective in our play. We still need to grow, learn from mistakes, and put in more work. If we continue the work we've started, victories will eventually come," added the Italian.
