G. Hiddink after the loss to "Everton": we had too little time to prepare

Guus Hiddink's led London's "Chelsea" suffered a defeat against Liverpool's "Everton" in the FA Cup quarterfinals yesterday and will end the season without winning any trophies.

On Wednesday, the "aristocrats" were still fighting for a spot in the UEFA Champions League quarterfinals, but the opponents were stronger there too. G. Hiddink believes that his team was tired because after tough Champions League matches, they had almost no rest.

"I don't think it's fair to play in the UEFA Champions League and then, two days later, compete in intense matches," the coach opened up after the loss at a press conference.

"It's not an excuse, but the opponents had a whole week to prepare and in the last 15 minutes of the match, it was an advantage. If the FA Cup had taken place a day later, I think we would have done better.

Sometimes television demands things that can harm the players' health later on, but it is what it is. This is just my personal critique and I certainly don't want to say that we lost undeservedly," added G. Hiddink.
