G. Hiddink finished work with the Netherlands national team

Guus Hiddink will no longer coach the Dutch national team.

The 68-year-old football specialist terminated the existing contract with the Dutch Football Federation by mutual agreement.

The famous strategist, who took over one of the strongest national teams in the world after the 2014 World Cup, replacing Louis van Gaal.

However, poor results and increasing pressure led to the veteran's departure.

Hiddink's work was "crowned" with a 3-4 defeat in a friendly match against the US national team.

It was previously agreed that after the 2016 European Championship, Danny Blind would take over the Dutch team, but with the changes underway, he may take the helm in the near future.
