“Liverpool” defender Glen Johnson has revealed that he is negotiating a contract with foreign clubs.
The Englishman, who currently plays in the right-back position for the Merseyside team, will see his contract expire this summer, and as of now, the “Reds” have not made an offer to the footballer.
During the winter transfer window, the 30-year-old player was close to a move to “Roma”, but the transfer fell through due to his weekly wage of 167 thousand euros.
Johnson claims he does not know where he will be playing next season and says that the possibility of moving abroad seems attractive.
“There is no news. There have been no talks about a contract,” the Englishman told journalists. “Where I will play next season, at this moment I have absolutely no idea. I haven't thought about it yet.”
“I have two months left here, and what will happen after that, we will see. I will just keep my head down and work in training.”
“The idea of moving abroad appeals to me.”
“There have been some discussions. I am still young, and it would be great for my children. However, I am not thinking about it now, so we have to wait a little.”
