"Juventus" General Director Giuseppe Marotta does not hide the fact that Mario Mandžukić is in the spotlight of the "Serie A" club.
The 29-year-old Croatian is named as the main candidate to replace forward Carlos Tevez, who wants to move to "Boca Juniors."
"If the Argentinean leaves, our goal will be to appoint M. Mandžukić as his successor," said the Italian.
"Carlos has given us a lot of benefits, but he wants to return to South America and end his successful career there.
We are still waiting for an answer, and we hope that we will hear the final decision within the next 2-3 days," said Marotta.
In the previous "La Liga" championship, Mandžukić scored 12 goals, while Tevez's statistics in Italy include 20 accurate shots.
