The Mexican national team dramatically withdrew from the World Cup on Wednesday, despite a win against Saudi Arabia.

After their exit from the tournament, the head coach of the Mexican national team, Gerardo Martino, also left his post.

The specialist announced this immediately after the match.

"My contract with the Mexican Football Federation ended right after the final whistle of the referee," G. Martino told "Fox Soccer."
