According to Swansea coach Garry Monk, for Liverpool to compete again for the Premier League title, Jurgen Klopp will need time.
The strategist from Germany, upon arriving in Liverpool, rejuvenated the club and secured victories away against Chelsea and Manchester City.
However, Monk believes that the Merseyside team will not become a serious force in England so quickly.
"Until they reach that point where they will compete for the title, they will need time - whether it's this season or the next," said the Swansea coach.
"When Liverpool hires a new coach, the goal is always to fight for the highest awards."
"That's how the club sees itself. Whether it will happen this season or the next, we will see."
Before Sunday's match, Klopp's team is in ninth place on the table, but only 6 points separate them from the fourth place.
