Former England footballer Gary Neville insists that players should not be granted privileges during the festive winter holidays.
The former defender was trying to counter the waves of criticism regarding the overly intense training or match schedule.
"They should never be given the day off on Christmas Day.
If you have a match on December 26, you must prepare properly for it.
Our 'Man Utd' team always trained on December 25, and it was never any different. Fans will still come to the match the next day, and points are equally valuable,” explained G. Neville.
This year, eight "Premier" league matches will be played on Boxing Day.
