Gary Neville believes that in order for his former club "Manchester United" to compete for the title of "Premier League" champions next season, they must acquire three or four new players.
On Thursday, the "Red Devils" announced that Memphis Depay from PSV Eindhoven will be joining them in England this summer, which, according to Neville, is a step in the right direction.
However, he believes that the team needs a bit more investment.
"They have already started buying players. They have agreed on Depay, so it seems that during the transfer window they will once again be aggressive," Neville told Sky Sports.
"This is necessary. If you look at the current "Manchester United" squad, they will definitely not be close to challenging Chelsea for the title."
"But by adding four good players to the team, they will definitely be able to compete with Chelsea next season. The same applies to Arsenal and Manchester City."
After Michael Carrick's injury, manager Louis van Gaal recently mentioned his intention to acquire at least one defensive midfielder in the summer.
