The goalkeeper of the team, who has defended the honor of the national team several times, is leaving the Lithuanian champions team and returning to Marijampolė's "Sūduva".
G. Padimanskas' contract with the Kaunas team has already ended, and the team leaders decided not to renew the contract with the goalkeeper. The goalkeeper, who played in 17 games last year, is returning to Marijampolė's "Sūduva", to which he was loaned in the 2002 season. The goalkeeper, who had a great season with the Suvalkija team, did not stay, as he was immediately brought back by the "Kaunas" management after the season.
This is not the only player leaving "Kaunas" - forward Martynas Karalius is moving to the Estonian champions club Tallinn "Levadia", who spent last season in Klaipėda, as he was loaned to the local "Atlantas". The 24-year-old Lithuanian has signed a two-year contract with the Estonian club.
