Spanish national team defender Gerard Pique was not impressed by Cristiano Ronaldo's performance - the defender is convinced that the equalizing goal should not have counted.
C. Ronaldo's hat-trick helped the Portuguese national team to level the score at 3-3. Initially, the forward scored from the penalty spot, and the penalty kick that equalized the score was scored by the Portuguese after G. Pique committed a foul.
"Barcelona" club defender believes that the foul was only called because of C. Ronaldo's behavior.
"Cristiano is always prone to falling to the ground. I highly doubt whether I touched him strongly," - said G. Pique after the match.
The defender also shared his thoughts on the scandal that occurred in the Spanish Football Federation: "Lopetegui's negotiations with "Real" did not bother me at all. The problem was how he conducted those negotiations. The less we talk about this story, the better for us."
