The defender was shown a red card, which "Barcelona" later decided to appeal. The appeal was quickly rejected by the "LFP". For this violation, G. Pique could have faced up to a 12-match suspension, but the "LFP" decided to stop at a four-match ban. This means that due to his behavior, G.
