„Barcelona“ defender Gerard Pique says that over the years he has only been playing better and ensures that he wants to play in the ranks of this season's „La Liga“ champions until the end of his career.
Returning to „Barcelona“ from „Manchester United“ almost seven seasons ago, the Spaniard has won five national champion titles with the team, and there are still four years left until the end of his contract.
„I will finish my career in „Barcelona“. When that will happen, I do not know, because with age my game only improves. I am certain of that. I do not see myself wearing another team's jersey,” the 28-year-old footballer told Marca.
„If I see that I am no longer capable enough next year, I will hang up my boots at 29. I associate this sport only with „Barcelona“.
Pique also added that the team hopes to finish this season perfectly and wants to secure a treble by winning the upcoming Spanish King's Cup and UEFA Champions League finals.
