Gerard Pique returns to the fortress of "Old Trafford". The defender representing "Barcelona" meets "Manchester United" in the UEFA Champions League quarterfinal.
Not many people imagined that the "Red Devils" would be in this stage halfway through the season. Nevertheless, "Man Utd" provided a real sensation in the quarterfinals - recovering from a home defeat and in the last minutes in Paris secured a ticket to the quarterfinals.
Before the match, G. Pique admitted that "Barcelona" cannot make the same mistake.
"I watched the replay of the match between "Man Utd" and PSG. It was a great example that you should never count out the United team. You have to do your job until the end. They showed that in the second match against PSG," said G. Pique.
"Man Utd" has many great young players. The penalty in Paris was a great example that anything can happen in matches. We know how dangerous the "United" team is.
For me, these will be special matches. I arrived here as a child, and I left as a mature man. I learned a lot of things - not only on the pitch, but also beyond its boundaries.
I was here from the age of 17 to 21 and during that time I gained a huge experience that was needed to become a professional. I had various experiences - bad and good. I lived here alone and really learned new things. I can say that coming back to Barcelona, I was a completely different person," added the Catalan.
