"Barcelona" defender Gerard Pique shrugged off complaints from representatives of Madrid's "Real" that they will have less rest before the upcoming Spanish Cup semi-final second leg match on Wednesday.
The first leg between the teams at the "Camp Nou" stadium ended in a 1-1 draw, and due to the scheduling peculiarities of "La Liga", the Catalans will have one extra day of rest before the decisive match.
However, according to G. Pique, this is not a reason to complain.
"The last time 'Real' had an extra day of rest, we beat them 5-1," - said the defender.
"Barcelona" coach Ernesto Valverde insisted:
"Listen, anyone could get upset about the schedule. 'Sevilla' played on Wednesday and today, Saturday.
It depends on the specific club and can become a problem, but these things happen to all of us."
