G. Sirgėdas and P. Nainys remain with the 'Kaunas Žalgiris' club

Next weekend, the "Kauno Žalgiris" football club, which will play its first official match before the 2025 season, will be able to continue relying on two more players – contracts have been extended with Gratas Sirgėdas and Pijus Nainys.

Gratas Sirgėdas, who first put on the "Kauno Žalgiris" jersey in 2017, will begin his seventh season in Kaunas, while the 20-year-old Pijus Nainys is a graduate of the "Kauno Žalgiris" football academy and this will be his fifth season in the "TOPsport A League."

Having turned 30 in December, G. Sirgėdas was the captain of "Kauno Žalgiris" last season. In the Lithuanian Championship, he played 30 matches, scoring 2 goals and providing 6 assists. He also scored one more decisive goal in the LFF Cup tournament.

Meanwhile, P. Nainys spent more time playing with the "Kauno Žalgiris B" team, which competes in the "TOPsport First League," where he also held the captain's position.

Both players will once again join the training process of the "Kauno Žalgiris" team.
