The coronavirus pandemic completely paralyzed the football world, and clubs and federations are looking for ways to survive this crisis.
Lately, players of the English "Premier" League clubs are being pressured to agree to a 30% reduction in their salaries, but the decision has not yet been made.
The English Football Association (FA) is also taking cost-cutting measures. "Sky Sports" reports that England's national team coach Gareth Southgate has agreed to a 30% salary reduction, and officially everything will be confirmed in the near future.
An FA spokesperson told the press that it is not yet entirely clear what losses will be incurred due to COVID-19, but the goal is to ensure the well-being of all employees.
"We still do not know precisely what impact this situation will have on our finances. Nevertheless, we are a non-profit organization, so we are taking all measures to minimize the damage to all of our employees.
"We will announce our further plans in the near future," said the FA representative in communication with "Sky Sports".
