The England national team could have had a new strategist at the recently concluded World Cup.
The team's head coach Gareth Southgate revealed that before the tournament in Qatar, he considered the possibility of stepping down from his position.
In a conversation with ITV, the strategist admitted that such thoughts arose after an unsuccessful performance in the UEFA Nations League in June.
"At that time, I received a lot of negativity from the environment. I didn't want it to harm the team during the World Cup.
During such tournaments, it is very important to feel unity and the support of the fans. When only negative aspects are being sought, it certainly does not help the team's results," said G. Southgate.
