The England national team reached the final of the European Football Championship for the second time in a row.
Gareth Southgate's team defeated the Netherlands 2-1 at the end of the match in the semifinals on Wednesday.
The England national team coach received a lot of criticism during the championship for the style of play, but ultimately led the team to the final.
After the semifinal, G. Southgate said it was the best achievement of his career.
"This is the best achievement of my career. We achieved a wonderful result, but more importantly, it's how we played in the semifinal.
The Netherlands tried to cause us problems by constantly changing their game. We had to adapt to that. We also caused them a lot of problems, and in the end, it culminated in such a result.
The most important thing is that all players are ready to enter the game at any time. Together, we have been together for a very long time and I am extremely happy for Ollie Watkins.
We deserved the win. We changed our tactics brilliantly during the course of the match. I want to give credit to my players, who made many good decisions on the field," Southgate said.
