The England national team unexpectedly lost to the Czech Republic in the qualifying match for the 2020 European Championship on Friday.
This was the first English defeat in this qualification, and Gareth Southgate's players will have a chance to redeem themselves on Monday when they face the Bulgarian national team.
The coach of the England national team said before these matches that his team needs to prove that they are one of the best in the world.
"In the past few days, we have been preparing for the upcoming matches. We need to ensure that our reaction after the defeat is appropriate. We understand that very difficult matches are ahead and we must be prepared for them.
The players themselves understand everything. They don't need to be told that we played below our capabilities in the last match. There is no point in feeling sorry for ourselves, we must show the right reaction after the defeat.
If we want to be one of the best teams in the world, we have to prove it in the most important tournaments. Now we need to focus on qualifying for the European Championship.
We have performed successfully in the World Cup and the Nations League, so at the moment we are evaluated very positively," Southgate told journalists.
