Unai Emery finally decided - the new and permanent captain of London's "Arsenal" club became Granit Xhaka.
BBC reports that the 27-year-old Swiss midfielder's trust was expressed by the players themselves, who on Friday gave the final confirmation to the team's coach.
G. Xhaka wore the captain's armband in several of his eight matches this season, although until now "Arsenal" did not have a single undisputed captain.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will help G. Xhaka with captain's duties, who became the team's vice-captain.
If neither of the mentioned players is available, then the captain's armband will go in order of priority to: Hector Bellerin, Alexandre Lacazette, or Mesut Ozil.
