Gianfranco Zola believes that starting next season, London's "Chelsea" coach Antonio Conte will be as good a strategist as Bayern Munich's Pep Guardiola and the dismissed "aristocrats" team Jose Mourinho.
Before working for the Italian national team, Conte coached Turin's "Juventus". Before his arrival, the "bianconeri" were in seventh place in the Italian championship, but then won three consecutive "Serie A" titles.
Now, after "Euro 2016", the Italian will take over the reins of "Chelsea" from interim coach Guus Hiddink.
In Italy, he did so well that he should be considered on the same level as Guardiola and Mourinho," former "Chelsea" player Zola told the BBC.
"He didn't win much on the international stage, but he's still a good coach with a strong personality. I am sure he will bring many positive things to Chelsea."
However, Zola added that without the UEFA Champions League, it will be harder to attract top-level players to the team.
