According to De Telegraaf, Ajax defender Ricardo van Rhijn will join the Galatasaray team in January.
The newspaper reports that Ajax accepted the offer from the Turkish giant for the defender, and he will sign a three and a half year contract with the new team. When De Telegraaf contacted Ajax director Marc Overmars, he confirmed the news with a short response: "It's true."
Van Rhijn lost his place in the main lineup of the Dutch team when he was surpassed by the young Kenny Tete, and instead of fighting to regain his place, it seems he chose the option to leave.
During his career, the 24-year-old footballer played 142 matches for Ajax and represented the Dutch national team eight times.
