Today, the club leaders agreed on the arrival of French club and Cameroon national team defender Rigoberto Song to Istanbul club. "Galatasaray" paid £1.5 million (9 million litas) for this player.
Song, who has already played 107 matches for the Cameroon national team, signed a two-year contract with his new club. The 28-year-old footballer started his career at the club in 1998. He has also represented "Salernitana", "Westham" clubs.
The captain of the Cameroon national team won the Africa Cup of Nations in 2000 and 2002, and he also participated in the 1994, 1998, and 2002 FIFA World Cups with the national team.
