33-year-old Wesley Sneijder will no longer play for the Istanbul "Galatasaray" team - the Turkish vice champions have terminated the contract with the Dutchman.
In October, W. Sneijder signed a new three-year contract with "Galatasaray", but today, due to unknown reasons, the agreement with the footballer was terminated.
"Galatasaray" had included a clause in the contract stating that the Dutch national team midfielder would have to pay 20 million euros to the club if he decides to sign a contract with another Turkish team.
It is unquestionable that W. Sneijder will not stay in Turkey - his next career stop is likely to be in the USA. He is being sought after by Los Angeles "Galaxy" and there is also interest from "Sampdoria".
W. Sneijder played for "Galatasaray" team since 2013 and in total played 173 games in which he scored 45 goals.
