On Wednesday afternoon, Istanbul's "Galatasaray" announced that the contract with coach Roberto Mancini is being terminated by mutual agreement.
The 49-year-old Italian was appointed to lead the team in Istanbul in October and signed a three-year contract, but he only lasted one season in Turkey.
R. Mancini was unable to defend the champion's title in the "Super Lig" with the "Galatasaray" team, and in the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals they were defeated by the London club "Chelsea".
"According to the signed contract, Roberto Mancini has no complaints and the contract is terminated by mutual agreement. We thank him for his efforts and wish him success in the future," - stated on the official website.
The coach previously worked for four years at "Manchester City" club, but was dismissed at the end of the 2012-13 season.
