Los Angeles Galaxy coach Bruce Arena confirmed that 34-year-old Steven Gerrard will join his team this summer.
The midfielder, who has spent his entire footballing career playing for Liverpool, recently announced that he is leaving the "Reds" after the season.
"Steven will arrive in July and we have a plan prepared for him," Arena told the LA Times.
Galaxy president Chris Klein also endorsed the move: "We are currently thinking about our current team players, but Gerrard is next. His character is suitable for our club."
The Liverpool legend will become another famous player to join the Los Angeles club, which still boasts Robbie Keane and has previously had David Beckham wear the "Galaxy" jersey.
