On Monday, a meeting of the club directors took place, during which a decision was made to dismiss Portuguese Artur Jorge from the position of head team coach. Since yesterday, Valerijus Gazajevas has been taking over these duties, who has already led the team in 2002-2003, winning the Russian championship and cup with the club.

"I would like to emphasize that Gazajevas has never left the club," said the president of "CSKA" club, Evgenijus Gineris, to the newspaper "Sport-Express", "He was involved in various issues, such as the recent acquisition of Brazilian national team striker Wagner Love, and now, in the face of necessity, he returns to the position of head coach. The contract with Gazajevu has been extended for another three seasons."

At the moment, the army team is in fifth place in the championship with 28 points, trailing their previous schedule by six points. Although the composition of the club significantly strengthened during the mid-season break, the improvement in game quality has not been seen by the club's fans yet.
