Juventus defender Giorgio Chiellini has no doubt that the club with the most supporters in Italy is equally loved and hated.

Before the Serie A match against Livorno, the Italy national team defender gave an interview to the newspaper "Tuttosport."

"We haven't won the Scudetto yet, but it is within reach," G. Chiellini commented on the situation in the Serie A standings, where Roma players have reduced Juventus' lead to 8 points.

"They play without feeling any pressure. At the beginning of the season, the Romans didn't even dream of such results. I hope Napoli won't get angry, but second place belongs to the Roma team."

"Meanwhile, the pressure is on our shoulders, but it's nothing new to us. We want to make history. Can we collect 100 points? This is our third goal of the season. The first two: win the Italian championship and the European league," the defender assured.

Last week, the front pages of Italian newspapers were filled with Juventus' general director Giuseppe Marotta's statement that Napoli players celebrated their 2-0 victory over the Italian champions as if they were a team from the province.

"I don't think they went too far. We saw a team that wants to win, not just be in the background," noted G. Chiellini.

"Is Juventus fighting against the whole of Italy? This has been happening since the beginning of the season. When Juventus loses, everyone rejoices hoping they can compete for the Scudetto. The more you win, the more people dislike you. I hope there will be even more of that next season."

"It's natural that our game is not as eye-catching as it was a few years ago because opponents have studied our game to the smallest detail. Back then, we were the only ones whose attacks started from the defensive line. Now everything has changed, even teams fighting for survival involve the goalkeeper in attack organization," the defender pointed out.

On Monday, the match at the Juventus stadium will start at 8 pm Lithuanian time.
