On the evening, two more Italian Cup round of sixteen matches were played.
In the first meeting between "Genoa" and the second division team "Perugia", fans witnessed a total of seven goals. During the regular match time, Giovanni Simeone and Goran Pandev gave Genoa the lead, but thanks to the efforts of Rolando Bianchi and Jean Armel Drole, the game went into extra time.
During the extra time, Pandev found the back of the net once again, and the Serie A representatives secured their lead with a goal from Nikola Ninkovic. Francesco Di Nolfo managed to narrow the gap for the opponents, but "Genoa" advances to the next stage.
Joining the team from the port city, Verona's "Hellas" triumphed at home against "Bologna" with a score of 4-0. They also scored four goals, all during regular time.
The opponents' goalkeeper was beaten twice by Anthony Mounier on the evening, while Federico Di Francesco and Emil Krafth each scored once.
