On Sunday, the 2019-2020 season of the Italian "Serie A" ended. In the last round, the intrigue was only in the fight for survival in the league, and "Genoa" secured their place in the "Serie A" championship by defeating "Verona" 3-0 at home. The hosts were already in the lead in the 13th minute thanks to Antonio Sanabria. The same Paraguayan doubled Genoa's advantage in the 25th minute. The third goal of the match came in the 44th minute, when Cristian Romero scored. Genoa's team did not falter even when from the 62nd minute they had to play with one man down - the scorer of the third goal C. Romero was sent off the field. Two more red cards were shown in stoppage time: Francesco Cassata was sent off from the Genoa team, while Verona had to play without Sofyan Amrabat. This victory allowed Genoa to remain in 17th place. The "Lecce" club was relegated to a lower division after losing 3-4 to "Parma" in the last round after a dramatic battle. Other results: SPAL 1-3 Fiorentina, Bologna 1-1 Torino, Sassuolo 0-1 Udinese.
