Munich's "Bayern" experienced one of the most embarrassing defeats in the team's history in the Champions League tournament, losing 1:4 away to the "Barcelona" club.

After the match, the German media spared no criticism of Vincent Kompany's players.

"Just a few weeks ago, seeing the tough upcoming matches, we asked about the team's current strength. We received the answer – not good enough," wrote "Bild".

"For example, Michael Olise was 'flying' at the start of the season, but he is currently facing difficulties. Meanwhile, Serge Gnabry is probably still dreaming about how Lamine Yamal is flicking the ball between his legs and even charging through like a ghost. Yes, the assist was good, but we didn’t get anything more," the publication insisted.

"Get Football News Germany" reported that one of the culprits of the defeat was goalkeeper Manuel Neuer, whose performance was rated only 3 out of 10 possible points.

According to the portal, if V. Kompany wants to lead the team to the tournament final taking place in June at the "Allianz" Arena, he must act more pragmatically, or the club will again face poor results.
