Lukas Podolski has accepted an offer to move to the English Premier League in London this summer, reports "Bild".
According to the announcement, the German national team footballer has agreed to personal contract terms. However, "Arsenal" still needs to negotiate with the club officials, and the deal could be worth around 20 million euros.
The Cologne team is not willing to easily let go of one of their leaders and plans to double his salary to almost 6 million euros per year. However, Podolski himself is inclined to test himself abroad.
The 26-year-old footballer is also interested in Schalke, based in Gelsenkirchen, which may offer the striker who has scored 15 goals in the German championship this season a salary of 7 million euros per year.
