Germany barely messed up historically in the Nations League quarterfinals.
In the return quarterfinal match, Germany drew 3:3 with Italy, although they led 3:0 after the first half.
In the first half, the goals for Germany were scored by Joshua Kimmich, Jamal Musiala, and Tim Kleindienst.
Moise Kean started the comeback in the 49th minute. After 20 minutes, the same striker scored again, leaving the Italians just two goals away from tying the series score.
In the 75th minute, VAR awarded a penalty kick to Germany. Giacomo Raspadori had a chance to score from the penalty spot in added time, which he did successfully, but there wasn't enough time to equalize the series score.
Germany will also host the Nations League final four, which will take place in June.
