Germans urge UEFA to introduce a salary cap © JumpStory

German Football Association President Fritz Keller is urging UEFA to initiate changes in football. According to the leader, the consequences of the coronavirus pandemic will be painful and measures need to be taken immediately. "At the moment, salaries and transfer fees are absurd - now they are not sustainable. We must start talking about salary caps. I am pleased that I was able to find mutual agreement on this issue with Bayern Munich's CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge. We will write a letter to UEFA President Aleksander Čeferin," F. Keller said. "The end result cannot violate the laws of the European Union and Britain. We must bring professional football closer to the people again."
