At the beginning of the match, the Germans tried to score a quick goal, but R. Gosens' shot from the side was not counted. In the 15th minute, after an unsuccessful opponent's corner kick, the Portuguese took possession of the ball and quickly went on the attack. D. Jota passed the ball to C. Ronaldo flawlessly and the striker scored the first goal of the match - 0:1. In the 35th minute, R. Gosens played excellently and passed the ball into the penalty area, and K. Havertz, actively fighting with the opponent, forced him to redirect the ball into his own net (1:1). Just four minutes later, Portuguese player R. Guerreiro unintentionally scored for the Germans - 2:1. In the 51st and 60th minutes, the Germans scored two more times - K. Havertz accurately shot from close range and R. Gosens, who deserved his goal (4:1). The Portuguese managed to reduce the gap only once - in the 67th minute, D. Jota scored, putting C. Ronaldo's confusion near the goal in the past - 4:2.
