In preparation for the upcoming World Cup in Brazil, national teams continue their friendly match marathon. Three friendly matches were played on Friday.
In the earliest match, Fabio Capello's Russian national team defeated Morocco's footballers in Moscow with a score of 2 - 0. The goals were scored by Vassilis Berezutskis and Yuri Zhirkov.
Later matches featured a goal fiesta. One of the favorites of the upcoming championship, Germany, crushed Armenia with a score of 6 - 1.
Mario Gotze scored two goals in this match, while Andre Schurrle, Lukas Podolski, Benedikt Howedes, and Miroslav Klose each added one. Armenia's Henrikh Mkhitaryan also scored a goal.
The disappointing news for German fans is Marco Reus' injury. The Borussia club leader was taken to the hospital, and it's unclear if the player will recover in time for the World Cup.
Meanwhile, the host of the upcoming championship, Brazil, narrowly defeated Serbia. Fred scored the winning goal in the 58th minute.
